Bethany and Neil tie the knot...

I've not blogged for quite a while because things have been pretty hectic! But now that I'm all moved back to Leeds I've got chance to show you what I've been up to! Last weekend my two good friends Beth and Neil tied the knot and they asked if I would design their table plan. I was over the moon to be involved in their special day and designed a floral seating plan as well as an illustration of the two of them to sit next to the wedding cake. They loved both and it was a truly special day had by all.

Ceramics fun...

I was once quoted as saying, "3D! Why would I ever need that!" on my foundation course. However, it has come back to bite me in the bum as I love making 3D artefacts these days. I recently had an induction into the wonderful ceramics workshop at Uni and loved every minute of it. Here are my labours of love!

I am so excited to announce that I have won the Race for Life T-Shirt Competition. It is such an honour and privilege to think women across the UK will be wearing my design this summer. Race for Life is such a worthy cause and it is so good to be able to support them in another way. Still waiting to see how the design process is going at R4L HQ but I look forward to seeing my design brought to life!

Tigerprint Gift Packaging Competition...

I got an email today to say that I have been chosen as one of the runners up in the recent Tigerprint competition. The brief was to design an envelope or kind of gift packaging that would enhance a special occasion. I am beyond chuffed and am awaiting my little prize in the post!

Cluedo...

Last semester we had a drawing project where we had to find an object to represent each of the characters from the boardgame Cluedo. We had to arrange our objects to create a set up which we then drew. I started off quite timid because I find drawing large set ups pretty challenging. But then Tony my tutor came along with indian ink and some large brushes and encouraged me to GO BIG! Something clicked and I started producing large expressive drawings and had great fun. So much fun in fact that I knocked over a pot of indian ink all over the carpet...oops! I finally faced my fear of tone and tried out a new way of working which I love!

Christmas Craft Fair...

A few of us at University decided to have a little Christmas Craft Fair to sell some of things we make in our spare time. I shared a stall with my friend Jen and we sold a range of festive goodies!
